Licensed Flight Dispatcher (#508134)
Skyplan Services is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person to work in
an exciting international aviation environment at our headquarters in Calgary.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Successfully passed the Canadian Aviation Regulations Generic Flight Dispatch Operations
and Meteorology Exams (CARs 705.110)
- Hold a valid Air Operator Radio License
- Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- Grade 12 education
- Able to work shifts (24/7/365)
Preferred candidates will have the following assets:
- FAA Dispatch license
- Flight Service Specialist or ATC experience
- Experience in a Flight Operations Department
- Customer service experience
- An understanding of aircraft and aviation related data
- Solid working knowledge of world geography
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Demonstrated success in multi-tasking during high stress situations with minimal supervision
- Computer literate with strong typing skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Preflight preparation and Flight Watch
- Develop, review, authorize, issue, and revise operational flight plans for all flights as required
- Communicate to Air Traffic Control Services
- Other duties as assigned and/or department specific
