At high density airports and on crowded route structures, especially during the holiday season, operations are usually at maximum capacity for extended periods of time.

In order to fly in and out of these airports, or fly a specific route, or even secure a parking spot, a slot reservation is mandatory.

Without an approved slot you run the risk of not having your flight plan accepted by ATC. or being denied landing at your destination and then being forced to divert to another airport, which will normally be well outside the area you were trying to get to.
Once you have your slot approval, your schedule must be maintained or, in simple terms, you will lose you place in line.
But in the real world, no matter how well your trip is planned, schedules change, aircraft become delayed, and unforeseen events can, and will, occur to alter your plans.
It is a time consuming and complex process to successfully reschedule an operation, even if you have the communications network and the contacts already in place. To attempt to re-plan and coordinate a new operation from the cockpit can be a very difficult undertaking at best.

Skyplan can eliminate the logistical and communications issues associated with the slot approval process. We maintain an excellent working relationship with the world’s airport authorities, and are experts in the ATC plan filing environment, all of which insures that your requests are presented in a way that will expedite approval.

And in the event your flight becomes delayed, Skyplan will immediately notify all airport and government authorities, and commercial vendors of your new schedule to insure that your slot times, handling reservations, ATC approvals, parking assignments, and diplomatic overfly approvals are all adjusted. Where required, Skyplan will reapply for a new authorization.

With Skyplan working in the background for you, we can help insure a successful and trouble free operation for you and your passengers.
