It's been a very long day in the air. You're tired. Your crew is tired. And if you are responsible for the passengers in the back of the airplane, they are probably tired too. A Ground Handler is almost always an operational necessity for every stop. It can be in the form of a Fixed Base Operator or a major airline, or airline handling company, depending on the type of aircraft you are using and your operational requirements while at that airport.

An airport Ground Handler is a key on-site manager while your aircraft is on the ground. It can be responsible for anything from parking and aircraft security, to the coordination of fueling, ground transportation, customs & immigration, load & unload, ramp services, catering, and the million other details that are required when you are transiting an airport.
