CyberTrac One 2000 Software

Revised: May 8, 2006

Q. Can the CTO 2000 program provide Flight Following?
A.

CTO has an Ops board that is designed for Flight Following but requires inputs from the dispatcher. The dispatcher will need to receive times from a third party, ATC, radio, telephone, etc. and then update the strip on the Ops board.

Q. Do I need to add my own airport information and country data?
A.

CTO 2000 has access to the main airport and navigation databases that are maintained by Skyplan. If the airport is missing or there is a navigation database problem, the user will need to contact Skyplan for corrective action. There is no fee associated with updating and/or making additions to the database and the navigation database is updated worldwide every 28 days.

Q. We just installed a new Firewall and now we cannot connect with CTO Server?
A.

You will need to open two (2) ports on your Firewall to allow a connection to CTO Server; refer to your Firewall documentation for their procedure to open the TCP port 1010 (both directions) and the FTP port (21).

Q. How long should it take for a Flightplan to return?
A.

A Flightplan should never take any longer than 30 seconds from the time that it was requested to be returned to you. On occasion, it may take longer for your Flightplan to be returned to you (due to Flightplan complexity, system load, etc). If for any reason you are unable to retrieve a Flightplan with a particular User ID, please contact our Help staff.

Q. Why cannot I not sign on, I continuously get an hourglass?
A.

This is an indication that the CTO Client is unable to contact Skyplan's CTO Server. This could be due to a very slow Internet connection or an inability to connect with our Server at all. We generally request that prior to contacting our Help number, you test your local ISP connection by "Surfing the Web" and insuring that you local ISP is not experiencing problems. If you run the CTO system continuously there may be times that the system does slow up, this may be indicated either by the hourglass or slow response time. The spinning 'Globe" icon in your System Tray (Lower Right Corner) "spins" indicating contact with the Host CTO Server.

Q. I'm running a Spanish version of Windows and I sometimes get "Runtime Error 13 - Type Mismatch" or "Runtime Error 52 - Bad file name or number".
A.

Two possibilities is that CTO 2000 has not been installed/configured correctly on your PC. Please verify that CTO 2000 is installed on your Spanish Windows PC as follows:

    1. Change Regional Settings (Configuracion regional)

       - Configuracion regional:

Ingles (Estados Unidos) <--- [English (US)]

       - Fecha / Formato de fecha corta:

          MM/dd/aaaa   <--- Short Date format

    2. Ensure CTO 2000 version 3.61.18 or higher is installed.

Q. I just installed a fresh version of Windows XP Professional and the new CTO client software;  I can start the application but when I right-click and select Flight Plans, it returns a runtime error: 3051?
A.

One possibility is that CTO 2000 users have not been given the correct permissions on your PC to work with the database. Please verify that the folder C:\Program Files\Skyplan CyberTrac One 2000\ has Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and Write permissions enabled.

Q. I am having troubles connecting to the CTO Server, I have been told Skyplan's main Internet connection to the Server is down, What should I do?
A.

If Skyplan's primary Internet connection for the CTO iNet Server is down, you can switch over to the secondary Internet connection:

  1. Logoff CTO 2000,

  2. Log in to CTO 2000 with the following settings:

    • Username: [your username]

    • Password: [your password]

    • Server Route: "Backup Internet" or "Backup Internet (IP)"

NOTE: Please ensure you change back to the "Primary Internet" Server Route once Skyplan's primary Internet connection is restored.

Q. I am having troubles connecting to the CTO Server, I have been told Skyplan's main Internet connection to the Server is down, What should I do?
A.

This may be caused by a problem with DNS [Domain Name Resolution] at your end. Try connecting to Skyplan using our IP address:

  1. Logoff CTO 2000,

  2. Log in to CTO 2000 with the following settings:

    • Username: [your username]

    • Password: [your password]

    • Server Route: "Primary Internet (IP)" or "Backup Internet (IP)"

NOTE: Please ensure you change back to the "Primary Internet" Server Route once Skyplan's primary Internet connection is restored.

Q. When I use the scheduler form, the background color makes it difficult or impossible to read?
A.

This problem is caused by improper background color setting in Windows, to resolve this problem immediately, go to >Start >Control Panel >Display >Appearance >Item >Active Title Bar >Font: - Color and change it to white or an appropriate contrasting color.
